Exercise Basics

INTRODUCTION TO EXERCISE BASICS

Train smarter!  Learn how to get the results you want

Knowledge is power.  It is imperative to know specifically what you desire AND how to make that your reality.  “I want to lose weight” or “I just want to tone” are vague statements that will produce vague results.  If you want to be strong, sculpted and lean; you must have the appropriate diet and exercise program.  A long distance runner and a sprinter both exercise and burn calories.  However, they have very different body types.  Which one do you want?

It is also important to work the muscles without abusing the joints. Safety first.

Using proper form and knowing your body will do more for your progress than adding reps or exercises. More is not always better when it comes to exercise.  Less is not always better when it comes to food.

Remember—The body doesn’t like change…even if it’s for the better. Begin your fitness program slowly. Be consistent. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone without straining and you will progress. Just like the seed that’s planted…much growth takes place before it breaks through the ground. Your results begin as soon as you do; even if you can’t see them yet.

Know that you have the ability to do this. It will be easier than you think!
